It goes from worst to even worse. How.

I suggested to my wife that the X10 is going back....

Now I have to decide...Divorce or keep the X10. Tough choice.

Apparently she loves it.

If she's happy with it then I see no reason to return it. Isn't getting joy from your hobby what it's all about?
Also, I did buy it for her and it was a birthday present. If she could she would live in the 70s so the style is all that matters.

Maybe she's a brilliant wife and you know, eggheads tend to have soft spots for orbs. If you want to convince her to get rid of the X10 though, tell her how great Silkypix is. I don't think she'll fall for it, but one never knows . . .

I have to agree with Paul if she is happy with it and it does not bothered by the orbs which may pop up once in a while. For sure it does produce some excellent shots and tonal colours.

Or tell her you want to make her life easier by buying a X100 for her :-) the canon is not bad ether but a bit soft for my liking.
Good luck :-)

She won't. JPG only and I have to take it off the card for her. If Silkypix is too hard she will never know because I will have to use it. Vomit!

Hey Siggi, have not seen you around much. It seems you are loving your X100. Good buy. Does the Xpro1 interest you at all or are you satisfied?

Do you have a nice shot of Melbourne you can share with us here?
Good luck :-)
Thanks. I need some bourbon.

ps: The Wedding Singer is on in 10 minutes. I can't wait till the Adam Sandler sings that "Gotta shoot myself in the head" song. It is gold and perfectly suited to an X10 output.

I think she may be better off without the pair of you :)

The lady always wins. :-)

Seriously, it's a win-win situation for you, Daniel. If she keeps it, she's happy. Happy wife, happy life. And you can shoot with it from time to time and share here with your findings. And if you return the camera, you'll benefit there too - no orb worries - but perhaps more in the area of 'future returns' - but who knows? The x10 may hold its value after all, when time passes.

I hope that you enjoy(ed) the movie.

If she loves it - give the cam to HER !! . you don't have to use it

A Problem is only the pessimistic way of looking at a challenge

Why do want to return it. You have problems with the cam or think you may get ready all the orb problems, ?

--

Its not the camera or photoshop which makes the picture but the person using the camera to take the picture.

In a few weeks, the wife will find something else to moan about but the X10 will NEVER stop giving you ORBs !...
LOL!... :D

Best Regards
Sunshine

ps If you see someone without a smile on, give him one of yours... :)

As a good husband, you should let her keep it.

As a good wife, she should photoshop those points into those orbs to make them look like normal star-shaped highlights.

PS: perhaps photoshop can develop a filter or app called Orb Converter.

Funny things is that she is a graphic designer and knows Photoshop like the back of her hand. She will process images for web and print but orbs, I don't think she will notice.

You don't give her enough credit. The moaning will start tomorrow after I finish painting.

Yes, orbs! I have haolgen downlights in my house, the camera turns them into orbs. I can't take photos with the lights on.

It is hers. I will use it and if I get fed up I will treat myself to a Tamron 17-55mm and not look back.

Not sure about that but I would agree they should win more often.

I'll get over it. Soon I hope.
