does this make you see why the nx200rs can be attractive?

I'm still not talking about the size. Once again, it's an isolation about how you said sensor size would be a step backwards and I disagree. You can argue about size of the body all you want and fanboy the EX1 as the most perfectest camera EVAR, but it still doesn't erase the statement you made about the sensor in the Q. It doesn't get around physics of DOF, but it performs remarkably well, even into high ISO zones.
That's besides the point. You mentioned the step back due to the sensor size and I countered, offering the more rational argument of "look at the images".
I did look at them and said they were good, ok so one of my criteria could be met without going to a larger sensor, but its still too thick. Besides, i don't know whether it would produce images any better than the EX1 so why outlay money for it.

My quest is to find a camera significantly better than the EX1 and no bigger, preferably smaller in thickness. If the EX1 lens collapsed all the way inside then that would be perfection.

How many times do I have to say that I thought the Q images looked good, I did previously say that it was a backward step in sensor size, but now I am retracting that statement since I have taken a good look at the images.

Now I am moving forward to saying that it is too thick for me to carry and I didn't see a 24mm pancake either. That is the end of the Q for me.

And I am not a fanboy, this is the first samsung I have owned, and every other camera I have bought has been a different brand, in fact years ago I had a pentax optio555 which was a little slow but very good image at that time.

Why wait for a change in optics? The sensors will advance much more quickly than that. Soon a small sensor will be able to provide very good quality.

It's just a matter of catching you in your statements and your mission to bring up the EX1 as much as possible, like in the Canon forum and the G1x threads. You are now softening your wording on the "pocketable" claim you were making there, simply as a pretense to bring up the EX1 whenever a prosumer discussion comes up anywhere, or like now, a jpeg thread turns up in the open area and it's all about the EX1 and beating it into people that this camera exists, when even Samsung couldn't give a cr@p.

The fact is, you have great, informative posts, but you go overboard often with fibs and lies. Case and point, never having handled the G1x and slamming it for size and handling (along with others). Now your claim about not having looked closely at Q pics, which even turned me around from being a hater, based solely on sensor size. There's a lot about the EX1 that's good and can be honestly posted about without fibbing.

I didn't realise that your whole purpose on these forums was to go around detecting where I have fibbed.

What started me going around mentioning the EX1 was when i noticed that it was the invisible camera, every thread I read where someone wanted to know about enthusiast cameras, someone would respond with this list: S95/S100; XZ-1; G12; LX3/5

I started to get a bit sick of this blinkered vision, so i started my own campaign to inform people and correct threads where this was happening. Its been quite interesting so far.

I do bring up the EX1 as much as possible, just as you appear to have your favourites and also those that you hate. I don't have any feelings for any camera company, they are all just corporations after our money, but when a company makes a reasonable camera like the EX1 and it gets ignored it is a bit frustrating. On the other hand, a popular company can bring out a load of rubbish and it will be a best seller. People are very strange this way.

About the G1X, I said the following in this very thread:

'Canon have pushed the envelope with the G1X, but it falls a bit short this time around for me as it is too big, maybe in the next model they can reduce the size. To me the G1X is the only camera in this years announcments that breaks any barriers, the rest are just revamps of the same thing that was around last year. '

So its too big for me, I'm sure I can figure that out simply because I went to a camera shop to size up a G10 as an alternative to the EX1, and found it was just a bit too big to comfortably carry in a belt bag. It follows that if the G1X is a bit bigger than the G10 then it will be too big for me. That is all I have said, no fibbing there.

That is a very good point, and gives hope that what I am after will be developed soon.

No, that's not my purpose, but it wouldn't be out of the question to understand that we might be interested in similar threads and cross there. Thus me seeing you in G!X threads outright fibbng about the EX1, for instance, just so you can carry on your directive of letting people know it exists when they speak of the bigger players in the field.

And there's a fib about the quote you placed about the G1x, as you're speaking about the G1x, but not isolating your own statement, which you partly retracted, claiming your EX1 is "pocketable", for instance.

I don't see why you feel the need to feel frustrated and hurt by the EX1 not being brought up. Samsung messed up and it's their shame, not yours. Bring up honest advice to people who might need it, not fibbing and telling them how the EX1 slices, dices, and juliens, when it doesn't and when it's no better than everything else in the class because they all have flaws and strengths.

Oh, and as far as the site in the OP's message, it looks like the former Segagadget people went onto designing that. Good job, Samsung.

Yes, i have seen you there.

Pocketable is just a rough sizing as all pockets can be a different size, so I don't see this as a fib, i would prefer the term a slight exageration.

I've never denied that, in fact I have probably defined more of its flaws on this forum than anyone else.

I do think that the fact that manufacturers are starting to pull back on small sensor pixel density implies they are up against some sort of development barrier at the moment. I think the Nikon 2.7x CX sensor size will be a success as it fills an obvious gap. It would be the obvious replacement in the near future with sensor improvements for aps-c/m43 with the latter's clumsy optics. My NX100 is fine until I put the 50-200 on when it turns into a DSLR sized lump.
That is a very good point, and gives hope that what I am after will be developed soon.
