Nice pics Raymond,
Probably the best optical clarity I've seen from the D300 & 200-400mm f/4 combo.

Especially like the bird shots and the hippos.

No filters, saturation,vibrance, just a slight crop, and sharpen a titch on the animals, and the trees. The D300 does a nice job without me messing it up in pp!
