Very nice captures Bob: Thanks for sharing. That 150 macro is quite a good lens and definitely on my wish list.

If you can see the light, you can photograph it

Those were taken with the new OS version. It's even better than the already great old one. It's nice to have OS on such a lens I must admit :)
I expected better bokeh, to be honest. Seems a bit nervous at times, like the older, non-OS version. What makes the OS better optically - excluding the vignetting, is it sharper?

The old 150 was a stunner of a lens, how does the OS on the new one hold up at Macro Distances ? , how have they improved the optics as the old one was knockout even wideopen .

A Problem is only the pessimistic way of looking at a challenge

Better as in clearer with no noticeable CA. Didn't do anything scientific but we also have the old one and the new one feels really better. Not necessarily sharper but clearer :)

Ooh, that is some kind of relief. As much as I loved the old one, I had always the impression that it has some kind of subtle haze. Still, I really hoped it will be the portrait competitor to 135L and Zeiss 135/1.8, but the bokeh does not seem to catch up :( :( :(

Beautiful shots. Do you have any of these, or anything else shot with both SD1 and the 150 OS, available as X3F downloads?

If it's about bokeh... There is no match for the Sony 135mm STF :) Love that lens on the a850 :)

Now if you could just adapt it to the SD1.
I heard it is almost impossible... I really would love to do so. Love that lens.
