The other day I had an (medical) exam, and I don't regret bringing LX5 with me... captured this beautifully scary machine of the past decades - I'm only guessing the purpose of this instrument, would say it monitors or measures the brain activity(?)... nowadays it serves as decoration in waiting room ;)... I like the sense of humor those physician have :D...

Best regards,

I can only say - Gee Wiz. I hope the doctor's last name wasn't Frankenstein :)

Thanks for looking, Peg... doctor's name was friendlier and I hope it wasn't his idea of putting that monster machine in the patient's waiting room - can ensure you, no one took a seat near that "thing" :D...

Ah - it's the old Mk 3 "Social Security Lie Detector" - I remember it well - a very efficient machine.......Suttzzs.

Bruno, interesting piece of hardware. Maybe it is there standby machine in case the new technology fails. Cetainly, more interesting than a fish tank in reception :). Stuart

It's an old permanent wave machine. I saw one like it on an episode of 'Green Acres'.

I may not know much about art but I can sure recognize "artsy".

As I distantly recall - they were going to use it on British MP's to determine expenses claims but they said it would never work on the brainless.....Toodles....Have Fun.....Suttzzs.
