Today I've discovered this precious piece of wisdom in the toilet at my workplace. I didn't have time to study it in details yet, but I think it's very important that everyone is up to date on the best practices in such an important matter.

You take your EPL1 to the bathroom? I believe that voids the warranty the same way that Seinfeld's George Costanza could not return a book at Brentano's after he took it into the bathroom with him ;-)
I'm a little disappointed that the handwashing chart did not mention that you're supposed to sing the Happy Birthday song - twice. That's how you know you've scrubbed long enough ;-)

It's the world we live in. Soon there will be instructions and how to properly do your business in the rest room. BTW, at least in the men's room, those instructions are a waste of time. I have personally observed that almost 1/2 of the men leave the restroom without washing their hands.......makes you think about the handshake.

Wait... There are only 11 steps to hand washing??? All this time I've been using the outmoded 13 step model. Man, the pace of technology these days.

At work, we have the WYB-guidelines for wiping your, well you know... bottom. It's a new government health agency guideline. I'm afraid to post the picture here though, since the posting rules don't allow for such explicit pictures. I can say that it involves rubber gloves, sandpaper, pure bleach and a band-aid.

Makes you think about using the door handle to get out after you've washed your own hands
If the person before you has opened the door using his unwashed hands, it sort of negates your own efforts........

I agree - kind of silly photo talk....HOWEVER, as a nurse I learned this years ago. Take your paper towel BEFORE you wash your hands, put it under your arm. Wash your hands then use the towel to shut off the water - and open the door. It is a simple task - but keeps away the germs you will pick up right after you wash your hands by touching the sink or handle. Maria
It is actually 12 steps... they started, for some bizarre reason, with step "zero"!

Nope, my work place is a university that does not have any medical facilities. One would think that most people there know the basic procedure, maybe not all 12 steps though...
No doubt. the procedure shown is really meant for medical facilities. I'm missing the frame about removing rings and other jewelry...
