Mother/Daughter session

WOW! Great stuff! I like the first one best. The B+W tonality is perfect. Your site portfolio is impressive. You sir, are a master. Thanks for sharing with us mere mortals.

Really nice of you to say Seaclam :) I'm far... far... far...from a master... still have tons to learn and so many things to work on. I do appreciate the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the images and thanks for visiting my site.

Thanks again,
Hatch

Another great set with the first photo being my fav.

Maybe it's my work monitor but some of the b+w the white are a little blown over. Maybe that was intended.

I have seen your work posted before on photography on the net. Love your model folder. :)

You are good at what you do. ;)

Thank you very much Yaamon :) I pushed the B&W with the white top on a lot... I can go back and have a look... I think the whites are @ 230 or so... but... really close to clipping. Time to recalibrate the monitor.

Thanks again!

Man great images. I love all of them. I'm now inspired to do something with my wife 14months daughter.

Thank you very much. All of these were shot in the clients kitchen...

BTS shot for the white series... using the reflectors to push as much light as I could in to the room. Looking back... I should have augmented the scene with a strobe... the quality of the images compared to the series we shot using the strobe/s is less IMO.

Have fun with your shoot... kids can be a challenge... but a lot of fun as well.

Thanks again,
Hatch

I like No. 1 best -- looking at baby, not at camera. Are these slightly warm toned? They look great.

And mom looks terrific.
Many thanks! they could be a little warm... it might be time to calibrate the monitor again.

Thanks again!

I think the warm tone is what makes the first one really excellent. Straight neutral b&w is way too cold. I almost always add a hint of warmth to my portraits.

I can only say you must have cheated - possibly by being an expert photographer with years of professional experience and super skills. Not fair!

I'm joking, seriously (seriously joking?) of course. They are stunning photos. Just wish I could achieve results like that.

I love No 5!

Thanks for sharing.
