Please post your flower, foliage and fungi pictures.
No general landscapes please, there is a separate weekly thread for that.

If you are posting your own images please post it as a reply to the this post.

Else your posts may be overlooked as they would appear as reply to others' posts.

Both are lovely shots. In the first one there is a bit of light fall-off at the base though.

I really like the 100mm f2.8 L IS Macro lens! It seems to work rather well with the 7D.

Now that I am able to devote more time to my photography I am beginning to get more enjoyment out of it.

These forums help enormously, I have learnt so much over the past few months people are so helpful with things like PP which I never did a lot of before.

And encouragement like yours helps a lot!

I really like the shot of the fern, did you use flash? The reason I ask is the black background? Which works rather well by the way.

The Maple (?) leaf is a classic type of shot, I really like it.

My favourite has to be the fern though.

Thanks Phil. No flash, that part of the fern sticks straight up with a dark ( but not totally black) bank behind it. I upped the blacks and contrast in processing. Processing is also the reason for the light fall off Gautam mentions, not the lens. I plan on trying a version with less fall off when I have a chance. I think it may be better that way.

The leaves are Japanese Maple.
