perfect case/bag

Yesterday I went to one of the biggest shops in Holland - Kamera Express in Capelle ad Ijssel with a giant bag collection - and I treif a lot of bags uincluding the special Pen Bag. This bag was not reallly suited for carrying the Pl-1 with the 14-150 mm lens and the 9-18 mm lens. It was really to tight, there was no room left for even my (perfect!) wrist wrap and it did not feel any good.

But ...... I found the perfect bag for me and to my surprise this is the Olympus bag, designed for the tw-lens kit for the E-420 or something like that. For the dutuch page of olympus see http://www.olympus.nl/consumer/dslr_accessory_e-system_dzk_case_ii_20683.htm

Is is really fine. My E-Pl1 with the 14-150 attacheds fits perfectly, not to tight, you can easily get it in including the wrist wrap but is has no room to move while transporting it and that really feels save. And there is seperated space for the 9-18 or other kind of lens and this space can also be reached by a separated zipper. See the attached foto's.

Maybe someone has use of this information.

I do it so infrequently I forgot, and the search hasn't turned up anything (for me anyway).

I took a few pics of my Incognito bag.

Thx.

Ok. Maybe I should read what's in front of me(!)

Anyway, here are a few pics of my Courierware bag. I believe this is the small one.

Image 1: My GF1 in front of the bag. Bear in mind I shot this with my Canon G9 at full wide so the Pany looks a bit big in comparison to the bag.

Image 2: Top down into the bag. There is a main compartment and 4 pockets - 2 in front and 2 in back. I use these to drop in lenses, accessories, etc ... There are also 2 compartments on the outside front and one large compartment (with velcro strip) on the back.

The one modification I made myself (well, my local shoe repair shop, actually) was to have the webbing sewn back onto the bag. I found the fastex and the buckle became loose very easily. As I had no need to adjust it I made the connection permanent.

Courierware can custom fit the inside of the bag (ie. 2 pockets on each side as I did, or 3 on one side and 2 on the other, 3 and 3, etc ...) You can choose to have D rings on the straps or not, velcro or fastex clips on the main flap, and a top handle or not. There is a strap with a caribiner attached in the inside for keys or other items. And the strap is a bit wider to distribute those heavier loads. The bottom of the bag has a foam insert, which is removable.

I have gone through a lot of camera bags and this is my favourite so far. It's nylon yet is supple enough to mold to your side due to it not being padded. It also looks like an everyday messenger bag.

Thank you very much for these pictures.

I looked at the Courierware bag and thought it was just the thing since I always have my Ipad with me. I just didn't want to spend the money $145-165 for the one that I would need) on another bag, have a closet full, both large bags for full DSLR systems and some smaller bags. I rooted through and found an old LLBean messenger bag that is just the thing. I took a four section divider out of my Domke F6 for lenses, etc. Took the wrap from my LP Terra to put on the bottom of the free side to soften the bottom for my camera, put the Ipad in the smaller zipped pocket and still have pockets for lots of things and its soft and flexible and fits my body. Glad I read this thread and it gave me an idea to use pieces parts of my own gear LOL
