Well, being French, I joked (just before the WC started) about how great it would be if French players went on strike (you know, for an accurate representation of our country)...

Seems I was not really far from the mark: they DID went on strike for a practice session, and for all practical purposes could have been on strike for the actual matches...

Well done England and expecially the US. The US scored their last opportunity goal that brought them to the next round in the first minute of 3 minute injuries time.
No wonder, Bill Clinton was in the stadium.
