Check out this D-60 shot!

You asked for opinon. IMHO I think the inclusion of the butt is very distracting. I really takes away from the intensity of the eyes which is great. It also adds a questionable relationship between intensity in the foreground and fuzziness in the background. It is almost like the butt doesn't even belong to the body. I even think cropping it adds to the senuality of the picture that I think you are trying for. I hope you don't mind (and I did a poor job and the colors changed a bit) of croping it to show my point.

Hiya Rich,

Another outstanding image. Great "appeal." Rich color. Intense eyes. Good pose.

Some editors would toss it because of the blown highlights. Gotta watch those. They are so bright that they take the eye away from face/eyes.

keep shooting and keep posting. Thanks for sharing with us.

Are you using the zebra stripes for overexposure in your LCD? Check it out in custom functions for LCD display. Or...since this is studio work, possibly shoot tethered and use a laptop for better judgement between shots. Breezesys.com has a D30 (D60?) Remote that is supposed to be a big help with quick review.

to answer some questions posted by other people regarding his pics.

Oh, well, it's a free country. :)

robert,

problem with your crop is that her position looks kind os silly to me if you don´t see her butt. it´s needed to know that she is actually lying. on the other hand i don´t think i have a problem with a butt like this :-).
cheers, wolfgang

Thanks for all the kinds words Steadman! I will say though, the highlights are hot on purpose, this is a look Im going for. I know everyone may not take to it, but its something I like. All in all the feedback is great.... keep it coming!!!!

If one wants to look at suggestive pictures, there are a zillion web sites to go to. This is supposed to be one where you can open posts with your wife or kids sitting behind you and not have to worry about sleazy garbage like this showing up. If you all think this is wonderful, I feel bad for you.

Seriously though, it's a little questionable (content wise), but you will see images as suggestive as this on prime time tv.

Suggestive? Yes. But I see nothing inherently sleazy about the female form. In any case, he posted it as an example of technique. I think the image works very well.
