First of all, many thanks to Jill for hosting MC 181. Great job and some fantastic images from all. Congrats to all the entrants, HMs, and "placers".
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to reach the first place winner, Sri Mesh - even though I found her Flickr site and even left a message there. There's no email address on either site, so we can't take the direct route. Anyway, Jill ask me (a second place winner) to take the torch and start a new challenge - which I'm happy to do, since many forum members seem to appreciate this venue for sharing their images.
We seem to have mislaid the list of past challenge themes, so I'm hoping this one hasn't been used too recently...
The theme for Mini Challenge 183 will be "MORE THAN TWO"
Repetitive elements or patterns make for great images, and this is what I'm looking for in this challenge. I'll be looking for at least three of a kind (using the word a bit loosely), and, preferably the elements should be arranged in some kind of geometric pattern - in a row... alternating... in a triangle or square or whatever... but you get the idea...
The Mini Challenges are meant to be very informal & encourage participation by having few rules.
In keeping with that spirit, here are the guidelines for the Mini Challenge:
1. You may enter up to 3 photos.
2. Photos may be shot with any camera and may be taken at any time.
3. The winner of a mini challenge chooses the next challenge and selects the winner, who takes the baton and carries on with it. In the event of something happening to me, I would like to nominate Rich to take over my role.
4. Please post your entries by replying to this original post – rather than under someone else’s post - and change the subject line to “My entry” or “Entry #1 or something like that to separate your picture posts from comments that someone may make about your post.
5. In the spirit of the previous challenge, I too, would like to nominate the previous host, to take over my role in the event of something happening to me.
6. The challenge will end on Tuesday the 23rd of March 2010 at 8 o’clock EDST (New York time). I will announce the winners within 24 hours of the ending.
7. I hope to have plenty of entries to judge, as well as I hope the participants will also comment on their fellow contestants.
Examples to follow in the next post
Once again, let’s all join in and have fun participating
Cheers,
