Hello Sung J,
That line problem was not caused by a dead pixel. The line itself probably represents at least tens of thousands of pixels. If it occupies 1% of the image area, that amounts to about 100,000 bad pixels. It's possible that the F70EXR is intermittently defective, but it's much more likely to be a problem caused by the micro SDHC card/SDHC adapter combo. My guess is that as long as you use your new 8GB SDHC card, the problem won't return, but if it does, you should probably contact Fuji's tech. support, especially if the F70EXR is still under warranty. Thanks, guys, for your comments. I just got an 8GB SDHC card, and it hasn't happened again, but then again, even with my old card, the problem was inconsistent -- it happened once every 100 shots or so. So if it is a dead pixel issue, why isn't it failing every time?
