Variable ND filters

Has anyone had experience with this product? I know Sting Ray has one but it costs a fortune and I know you can make your own by stacking polarizing filters but for that cost and an all in one solution this looks interesting.

Thanks for the example! This is the effect I'm looking for. The common complaint I have read has been about the color cast. Have you had any issue with this? Was this image taken with the product I linked to or one like it?

Thanks

Don't believe the old Polaroid ads. Even if you use otherwise good polarisers, you don't get as much density as you might think and you also get a a purple cast This goes some way to explain the high price of the Singh Ray filter. I submit you really only need one ND filter anyway, and that's the most dense you can find.

If you wish, add a CP to a LP and you will get the same effect. It may be cheaper that way too.

Nickoly,

You make a really good point about the one really dense ND filter. One ND filter has got to be cheaper than this option. Can anyone tell me why this isn't the way to go???
