Alternate storage for Memory Stick

other one.

4) Should have a practical power consumption. I dont want to end up
buying battries once again from Sony.

Read some of the posts about the Image Bank/Tank and X Drive. You
can get a 20 gig IB for about $240. You would need a stick -> CF
adapter.

I've taken two long trips with portable hard drives. They work
fine. I don't believe that any of them will tether to camera. All
require that you remove card and insert in PHD for copying.

X-drive is probably the best solution for you - considering that
you don't need to spend the money on memorystick adapter. X-Drive
has Memorystick slot.
