I know there was a good thread on this a while ago, but I'm having trouble finding it. Can anyone point me to it? (Or suggest good cases.) I'm looking for something that will still fit in my pocket, and I don't need to store extra cards or batteries in the case.

I got it, nice fit (dont think it works with extra grip). And no place for extra memorycards/batteries.

Tamrac 3814 is a neoprene zipper case with belt loop. Fits s90 without grip. No additional room for battery or memory card, but very slim case. Can even slip into pocket.

The best S90 case design for me would need the following criteria:
1) Large Magnetic closure without having to aim for a little button
2) Belt Loop
3) Snug fit
4) Fit's Richard F's grip (as I may consider getting it)

I bought the Olympus neoprene sport case and it fits all the criteria, with the Franiec grip. I use it with a Gordy's sling strap that attaches at the tripod screw and the horizontal orientation is perfect for that.

That is a great on-the-go solution, Janice. Secure and ready to shoot.

Lowepro Apex 20AW is a perfect fit, with grip, filter and Manfrotto, folding flat tripod attatched.

I also have this case and love it.

i've got this one which fits perfectly. no frills, just for the camera. as it's neoprene, its elastic, so the grip would still fit in. comes from australia and takes a bit more than a week to come over to europe.

Lowepro Napoli 20 is a perfect fit leather case.
You bet! It fits absolutely perfectly, including the magnetic closure. I haven't found any other leather case that even came close. Though, I haven't tried the OEM Canon leather case -- whatever, there's no reason for anything else given how well the Napoli 20 fits.

I've been using the Olympus neoprene case for the last month. It is very convenient to use and decent protection but find that the overflap's thickness adds too much bulk to the package. I also tend to leave my camera on my passenger seat or in one of the storage spaces in my truck and don't like the fact that dirt and stuff gets to the camera through the side openings. The same is true for my pockets(I am a dirty smoker!) This is a problem for many of the cases available for this camera, including the high-end bags from Canon. I work outdoors in all manner of conditions and seem to attract a lot of crap into my car and pockets which I don't want getting into my camera.

I have just received my ebay Australian neoprene case. It fits perfectly, with the grip and Lensmate adapter. I like the zipper, as it keeps the crap and dampness away from my little jewel. It takes a tiny bit more effort than the magnetic closure, but my camera tends to be either in the case or out, and so this only costs me about a second. It is also small enough to fit in my pocket and seems well-constructed. It doesn't have room for a spare battery, SD card, or polarizing filter, but I have put a little piece of velcro on the case and another on a little pillbox filled with the extras so that they hold together if I so desire. Alternatives that allow the extras to be in the same case defeat the whole pocketableness advantage of this camera.

I'm also waiting delivery of one of the leather fitted cases with extension for the lens, even though it won't accomodate the grip and allows grunge to get in the sides. Just wanted to play.

All told my quest for the perfect S90 case has cost about $30. Not bad for something I now have $500 into--grip, adapter, spare batteries, filter.

Works brilliantly and is much smaller than a dedicated case

I ended up buying this. It doesn't really fit in my pants pocket with the case, but this is about as small as a case can be and still offer protection. So I'll use this for tossing the camera in my bag, or to thread it on my belt-loop if i plan to use it a lot. And if I just want to tuck it in my pocket, well, the interior of my pocket is usually pretty clean, and if, for some reason, it isn't, I will "wrap" the camera in a zip-lock baggie.

The case fits perfectly, just a tiny bit tight with the grip. It has two micro pockets on the inside. They are too small to hold the little case that an SD card comes in, but a naked SD card slides in nicely. I think I could put a spare battery in the other one, but then the case would bulge a little. (It I didn't have the grip on the camera, a battery would fit nicely on that side.) I like that the case has an easy magnetic lock that doesn't require you to match up a knob to a hole, and doesn't have velcro to fray the wrist strap.

Humble Bear, if you haven't bought a case yet, this one perfectly meets your criteria.
