Im relatively new to photography...just starting to seriously get into it.

I will be getting a fz35 (panasonic) soon (I hope!) and I need some tips or a helpful website on things like aperture, ISO (I half know what ISO does), flash techniques, Long exposure shots (eg. night), and when to use techniques (such as pinholes)

You can go bonkers using websites only. Because the web is a short explanation media - you can't go on and on for 10 pages of explanation and photos because people stop reading after page 2. We now adopt a multi-pronged learning method.
  • get a book that you enjoy reading. Since it is paper, you can go forward and back many, many times, in public transport, in the libary, in the sitting room, in bed and suck the info out in repeated drips.
  • add some webpage that explain a particular aspect in more detail
  • after that, come to forums and discuss different understandings of some fine points.
At any time, if you feel like meeting some humans face to face, you should. They add a lot to the learning process.

Here are some websites:

They not only have books, many have videos on photography both beginner and advanced. Some even have CDRoms on photography.

Hello,

have a look at these sites. They offer excellent courses, I can recommend both sites:

http://www.betterphoto.com/home.asp

http://www.ppsop.com/

the courses are not for free but definitely woth their money.
I can also recommend this book by Brian Peterson:

This is all the places I went for help or learning when I got my camera (and am still going back to and finding new ones)

And check out the links section, there are LOTS of useful websites I have collected there with info I found good for a beginner (ie me )

So far the best learning I have had has been posting photos online and asking for critique (tho you can get conflicting responses to that which is a bit confusing but still good advice) - also I attended a Compostion course and joined a Photography club and went on my first field trip and learned HEAPS
