M9 Four panel stitch

I think this is a very beautiful shots and I am surprised of lack of comments.
It is almost like an impressionist work of art!

I hope to see more,

Woody, this is a stunning shot, I love the delicate colors and tonalities! You certainly capture the after snow mood very well.

Woody, Many thanks for posting this gorgeous painting like image. Whenever I see such a beautiful image my first reaction is to click on the "Member profile" and find out whether there is a Member website with more wonderful images. Indeed, there is, but a "." is missing in "Website: http://www.woodycampbellcom " in the Member profile that threw me off for a second, but just a second. I wonder what this image does look like in full resolution. Thanks again, khaw

When the M9 arrived I realized that the specification for the chip (6 micron CCD, no AA filter 24x36mm) is identical to the typical 39 meg medium format back, but exactly half the size. This means that if you stitch three frames overlapping 50% you end up with a file that looks like it came our of an MF system. At a recent workshop I brought two 24x30 inch prints - one three stitched with the M9 and one taken with a Hasselblad H3d-39 - of the same landscape and more than half of the participants guessed wrong as to which was made with medium format. I've been spending a lot of time in the past two months perfecting my stitching technique, which I now use a lot.

Woody, Many thanks. Very interesting indeed. I am familiar with Moose Peterson's paper on Ultra Wide Panos

Could I ask you to elaborate on your techniques, both in the field and on the computer?

Thanks again, khaw

Great shot, I like your daily photo blog too.

How long have you been doing the daily shot?

I did it twice. Once a shot a day for a year; then a picture of my son every morning on the way to school last year.

It can be pretty tough, but it's a fantastic exercise. Absolutely devastating when you miss a day.

Where are you? I'm in upper Westchester; South Salem, right across from Ridgefield. Seems like you're shooting quite a bit just north of me. I shot that Ziggurat also. Couldn't believe it when I saw. We also heard the story from somebody.

Did you know the home (or one of them) of Aperture is just a little further north in Millerton, NY?

Small world. I've been doing the daily blog for two months now, but I'm committed to carrying forward until I drop. It's generating a hundred or so visits a day - some of them for extended period - trending upward.

On weekends I'm in Warren, CT, which is in Litchfield County. I know your area fairly well - at one point we had a house in Waccabuc.
