I just sold two Olympus cameras on Ebay- C3000 and C2100 (both with some accessories) and got very good price and no problems at well with payments. The best (safest) payment type is to request cashiers check or postal money order. Once you receive the $, you ship the camera. I'm starting to like Ebay.
Oohh, scary! I've never used ebay - I'm always a little concernedHi Liz
Just been reading through this post and at least it is good news
that Fuji are giving you a new camera, but not so good that you
have lost confidence in Fuji, but after all that has happened I can
understand that. I myself am very happy with the 6900.
If you do decide to get something else, or a 602 if you change your
mind, ans you cannot get a decent trade in price through Jessops or
another retail, then I would recommend you consider Ebay.
about the financial arrangements going pearshaped - maybe I'm not
trusting enough.
If I didn't go for a 602 (which is probable), and decide on the
707, I'd be selling the lot - teleconverter and adapter, extra
battery, charger, 55mm filters, all the SM so I might have a chance
of a decent price as the package would get someone the full kit to
get started. The extras alone are probably worth £150 or so. I
suppose it might do OK if I leave it unused and still with a year's
warranty. I'll have to think about that one!
I'm surprised the 6900 is still going for such good prices,The reason I say this is that I sold my 6900 with extrea battery
and card for £475, but could of got more for it, as a friend of
mine then put his 6900 on ebay with extra battery and card and got
£520 for it and it was eight months old, so you will get a good
price for a new one, they are going for silly money at the moment.
considering the 602 has been out a couple of months.
Thanks for the idea, even if it's a scary one for me!Just a thought if you cannot get a good trade in price and you
decide to get something else.)
