I been looking around and found this

Panasonic Lumix LEICA D VARIO ELMAR 14-150mm F3.5-5.6

and it tickled my fancy. Reviews that I have managed to find are positive and seems to be slightly better than the 14-140mm.

I was wondering if anyone has managed to use this with the GF1?

Does the AF work with the GF1?

I have this lens and use it on the G1 with adapter. It autofocus's perfectly but slower than the kit lenses. It renders great images. It is expensive and the noise from the focusing motor in video recording would be problematic. Did I mention it's quite large as well. The GF1 form factor doesn't seem like an ideal platform for this lens. Anything is possible but all things considered I would go with the 14-140 as it was designed to maximise the usage of video and stills on the GF1

Great lens. I started using it with the E-330, and it was one of the combos that gave me more pleasing results.

Recently, I tried it with the E-P1. It works very well, focussing almost like the kit lens (but note that the GF-1, from all I read, is faster). A bit big and heavy for the body, though.

The 14-140, slightly less sharp IMHO, forms a better pair with the E-P1 - and has AF advantages, as well (it is remarkable on this respect). I can only imagine that it will shine even more with the GF-1, in this respect!
