I ordered the GF1 20mm from Panasonic.com on Friday. Got emailed a confirmed order with "Guaranteed Delivery" by September 30 on Friday afternoon. I even called to confirm and spoke with someone at "Shopatron" who apparently does panasonic.com fulfillment. They confirmed and reiterated "guaranteed delivery by the 30th"
Fast forward to this morning when I got an email saying:"We have some important information regarding Order # XXXXXXX, which you placed on the website through Shopatron.We are not able to ship your order at this time, but we expect to ship the order in its entirety in 2-4 weeks."
I called both Panny and Shopatron and each pointed the finger at each other (which I interpreted as them both giving me the finger). Nether understood what I was talking about when I asked what they would do for me as a result of not making their guaranteed delivery date.(that is the shippers guarantee, but since we didn't ship anything...)
Not impressed with Panny customer service at all.
BTW, Samys has them both in stock. I have a GF1/20 on the way.
