Sun splotches (warning: nipples)

This is a horrible picture, but if I were to attempt to rescue it, how could I remove the sun splotches all over the skin? I've run into this problem before, and I really couldn't come up with a good way.

All the adjustments are to open up the shadows and lower the brightness of highlights, shadow & highlights, curves, dodge and burn and some painting to even out the skin.

Sure, you can fiddle with Image/Adjust/Shadows and Highlights but it will never be right. Sad, because I really like the photo. Nice pose and very seductive - with a hint of "naughty". Love the setting.

Can you do a re-shoot? I would! Use a fill flash or a reflector board(s). A fill flash would have been so easy! Bracket the fill strength from 1/4, to 1/2, to full.

--i like the re-shoot idea ... leave the camera home lol sorry coud not help the idea ... fill flash would have helped ...and shoot raw ... i dont mean her ..not a bad ida=ea either ...but then you have something to work with ...beside the talent

Straight answer, its a very poor image and if you only took one then your'e crazy.

Ah, Carol. You KNOW he needs to do a reshoot! :^) As good as we both are in PS this image can't be saved - at least to my satisfaction! Good hearing from you.

Your splotchy photo can be salvaged:

Surface blur: Radius 14 Threshold 17 will reduce the harshness. Adjust opacity as desired. Paint out surface blur on eyes, lips, teeth and earrings.

The real problem is the lighting on her face. Lighten face in curves (luminosity blend mode), second lighten on eyes, eyelids, third lighten on whites of left eye. Sharpen eyes, lips and teeth. A little red de-saturation, darken edges of photo and you will have a nice photo. Not professional but a "keeper", less harsh and more flattering to the model.
