Ok, I had to post this. I submitted a photo in a contest on the Olympusamerica website some months back and it was selected as one of the winners for the Summer2008 contest.

I received an email from Jim Harper, a marketing analyst for Olympus notifying me to claim my price.

Taken with an E-330 using a 14-54mm lens with a polarizer.

I've entered it in a couple of Oly Challenges. the latest being the Backlight challenge.

A prize is nice, but I'm surprised they don't offer Oly products or coupons instead of a prize that could go toward non-Oly products. They could probably increase the value of the reward by 50% or more and make it in the form of a rebate on Oly products, and their effective cost would be similar. Seems like a missed opportunity to me.

Well, I wasn't really expecting to win anything. so this was a surprise and the recognition is price enough. Maybe a new E-3 would've been nice but who's complaining. It's $100 I didn't have yesterday.
