I used Nikon film F70D one year ago and have Nikon 24-120mm and 70-300mm lens.

I am using G2 now and have not bought any len and filter for G2 so far. I am thinking about buying D60 for the long run.

Can anybody advise me which kind of closeup lens or telephoto lens or filters i should buy to use on G2 so i can still use them in the future for D60? I am just poor and do not want to re-invest money on the same kind of things. Or it's impossible to do that?

Or i should turn to Nikon D100?

Thank you in advance. Your advice is very appreciated!

The Canon 58mm 500D closeup lense can be used on G2 and if your macro lenses is 58mm threaded, can also be used on D60. Now that depend on when you purchase lense for D60 whether you will buy a 58mm macro lense or not. Other than that, I don't think you will share much lense/filter between G2 and D60. I own a D30 and a G2, they only share battery and CF right now. So if you are going to buy a D60, might as well don't buy anything for G2 and when you get the D60, buy whatever suites you for D60.

Thank you for your response.

Can 58mm 250D also be used for D30 or D60? I know that closeup len can be used for G2. If yes then how to choose from 250D and 500D?

As the previous poster said, it all depends on which lens(es) you purchase for your D60. Different Canon EF lenses have different filter ring sizes, ranging fron 52mm to 77mm. Choose the 250D for short focal length lenses (EF 100mm or less) and the 500D for longer focal lengths.
