Capture One that came with LUX 4

Hello everyone.

I'm just got my Lux 4 and when I try to download the Capture One software, aside from the code that came with the CD, it's asking for e-mail address and profile. I'm not sure what it meant about profile but it not working for me. Did someone encounter the same situation as I have.

I have not installed the Capture One software yet but my guess is profile refers to your camera model. Often these noise reduction programs have specific profiles for each digital camera.... but if into, this wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.

The ability to 'see' the shot is more important than the gear.
 
Thanks for the fast reply. I'll go ahead and try it and if it works, I will let you know. It's really frustrating when you can't figure out what you're doing wrong after spending that much on a point and shoot camera;-)

Well, whether it's a point and shoot or a DSLR they would ask for the same info. Hope it works for you. I'll probably install my software tonight.

Hello again.

Actually when I click on profile, it's asking me "please enter the passwork to your Phase One profile". When I got the cd it only has the license code with it. How will you know the password? :-(
 
Just figured it out. You have to go to the Capture one website and create you log in there before you can activate your Capture one. ;-)
 
Being used to Photoshop, I really didn't like capture one very much! So, I decided to shoot in jpeg till ACR supports Dlux4 RAW files!

PS: I had no problem installing C1, but I can't remember what the installation asked for!
 
I have put alot of work in CS and am willing to wait to use it. I was not impressed with C1.
