Nikkor 105mm VR - Recent Shots for CC

I like the frog as well, but I also like the red flower (the last). You've kept the reds under control well, and I like the composition.

Very Nice Captures.
  1. 2 and #4 are my favourites.
Thanks for sharing.

Did you use an external flash for this photographs???

that you get great shots like this with such strong color and compositions. Really nice work. Thanks for sharing!

No external flash; the in camera flash will do a pretty good job providing fill for macro shots in the outdoors; however, I am thinking of getting an SB600 with an Off-Camera iTTL flash cord to help provide more light when I want to shoot with a smaller aperture then the natural light will allow.

and thank you all again for the great comments!

Thanks for the photos Shawn.

It's always an inspriation to see good macro shoots. It's a completely different world. Very simple and abstract if you can keep it that way. I especailly love the water drops on the leaf.

Well done and thanks for posting

Good use of the narrow DoF on these. I particularly like the last one just pips the frog for me.

One photo out of focus is a mistake, ten photos out of focus are an experimentation, one hundred photos out of focus are a style. Anon

I like #3 with the photographer in the water droplet. The depth of field could have been just slightly back. But who knew you were going to be in the shot. lol

Very good set.

The lens is impressive.
