A Telescope Stretches From Brooklyn to London

Thanks for the post. Actually, pretty common technology in today's world, but fascinating the same.

Thanks John. I like that fact that the artist made the cameras look like an old telescope, partly buried in the ground in both Brooklyn and London.

I'll wave to my English cousins via fiber optics but I'll remain on
this side of the pond - at least until the USD gains back some buying
power abroad. And I'm getting a sinking feeling that might not happen
for quite some time.

Great images as usual my friend.
You could write your cousins an email as to what time you can rendezvous on both sides and wave at each other :D

Thanks Joe.

thanks for flagging this one up, Dez. I wish I could get down to London for a return photo, but doubt I'll make down there till too late - no trips planned for a while.

It looks like a touch of Jules Verne meets Wallace and Grommit!

Make your own mind up - there are no rules in this game.

Yes, "Journey To The Center of The Earth". It's an interesting concept and quite popular. Native NYers and tourists have been visiting this site in droves.

I was there last night w/a tripod only to have these people ruin some of captures :O

I can't believe we haven't got a single photo from England yet!

Hey Dez... after I saw your photos, decided to take a trip down there also... Here's a few with my (sorry for the quality) handheld PDA...

And don't ask me for EXIF! :)

Well, you know... it's one of those days where you bang your head on the wall for not bringing your camera! :D

Carrying around 16 lbs of equipment daily has given me back problems!! PDA suddenly seems attractive! ;-)
PDA? What happened to the D2X? LOL.
