i've been to this location many times. it is always fun to see how the silos will be interacting with the evening light.

first time there with my new 10-20. is going to take a while for me to get used to the amount of geometric distortion this lens gives but until sigma releases their 4x5 300MPxl foveon view camera this will have to do :)

thanks for looking.

there's something i love about photos of livestock in green pastures. strange i know, don't know why.

makes me regret selling my SD10 too. your photo reminded me that it didn't actually turn into a pumpkin when the SD14 was released ;)

I too was torn between the 30 or 28mm but I'm more concerned with CA. From all I could gather, the 30mm had higher CA across all apertures where as the 28 seems only prone to f1.8. As I use it more I'll learn where and when CA will be a problem. I'm in no way disappointed with my purchase, the focusing is ok for me.

Wow spm: Great macro shot with the DP1. I would say it comes close to what you could do with the Sigma SD14 and the 50 mm macro! Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

OK it was shot in 2004 - but has been re-processed now using the latest version of DPP - it's full size SD9 (Sorry Dialiuppers) but I Love the detail .. Shot with the very rare HSM version of the super-sharp 300mm F4 APO Telemacro WIDE OPEN ..

I think it's relevant to this thread because despite being a 4yr old file, it's been brought back to life with the latest SPP showing that even with the 1st gen Foveon cams, new versions of SPP are improving them . I bet the ISO400 peformance isn't as dire now too :)
