Thanks again to all participants.

It was wonderful to see how the theme of this challenge means very different things to different people: infants and elders, landscapes and sunsets, newborns and cemeteries, religious symbols, water and snow, and more. Selections here reflect photos that either capture or induce the challenge theme, photos that breathe.

Bleekrer,

Congrats. Before you host the next one. I'd like to know the EXIF on your file. Your exposure and shutter speeds were terrific...how did you manage to avoid blur on the girl with slow shutter speeds?

for the 1st place image.

Good job running the challenge Twisty.

Some really good images, congratulation to all participants.

Best, Renato.

EXIF:
Camera: Nikon D50
Lens: 18-55 Kit Lens (Yup!)
Exposure: 4 sec
Aperture: f/14
Focal Length: 38 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
PP: Sharpening & color adjustment in Photoshop CS

I was at the right place at the right time...As I was packing up to leave, I noticed this girl in the distance gazing at the cascades of the Winooski River. I hustle over to her location and began snapping shots. I did not have a remote with me, so I ignited the shots with the D50's built-in timer (this was excruciating). She was as still as a stone! The photos pretty much looked like this right out of the camera, but I did run them through photoshop for light PP.

Thanks,

Wes
