Heidi and I have over 1,100 photos from the Robotics Competition at Epcot two weeks ago. Most we took with my UZI, but some are from her D-490. We have to find the good ones, process them, and upload them to my web site.

Been checking in to read fairly often -- pick up lots of tidbits. But never post much -- digital photography still pretty new.

Brian Jackson. Did you get any photos of the Tasmanian Devil? Or better still a Tasmanian Tiger! :-)
Been missing a few people around here and wondering if we are all
just so busy at work or on assigments or now off to other places.

I thought we could all sign in and post a link or message about

What the heck. It's only money.

Oly Australia had one B300 in stock on Thursday, the TL 45 and associated bits are on back order. I told my dealer to get me the B300 as I know they are hard to find. Friday 8:30 am he rang to say some other dealer in Lismore had beaten him to it :-( and I will have to wait about a month till another shipment arrives.

The whole package (lens, flash, bracket etc.) will cost me $1350 AUD add that to the $2000 I already paid for the camera, memory, case and spare batteries and charger, plus the $600 for the Canon S820 printer and I find I have a total investment of around $4,000 AUD ($2,200 USD) - And I haven't even bought PhotoShop yet. Ouch

Time to put my old Canon film cameras up on Ebay. I have a near new pocket Olympus film camera that I might sell too. I'm now wishing I had bought a digital instead.

Hi Everyone!

It's fun reading what you've all been up to. I had today off and was lucky enough to go to a local Rose Show. Such beauty and perfection! I talked to a few of the entrants in the show who were thrilled that I was actually taking pictures of their creations. Here's an orange lovely that seemed to glow...I doubt that a camera can capture the true colors:

It was a great way to spend the afternoon but back to work tomorrow. Phooey! I hope the rest of you have a great weekend...

:)

I just left another thread. He's not doing too well generally although the surgery seems ok. He's had to have two pints of blood yesterday and is getting two more tonight when they get it. He seems so fragile in comparison to how vigorous he was before the surgery. A friend who had the surgery tried to talk him out of it, but Dad had great confidence in the doctor who had operated on him on several occasions. He was determined. I tried to talk him out of it. He's 87 but very alert and active for his age, at least he was before the knee replacement.

That's quite a collection you have of Ball photos... Lots like you make an effort to get to batting practice...and travel alot!
