I like blurry pictures. Please post some.

A*M*A*Z*I*N*G

We sat for a few minutes looking at the first photo... thinking what a great effect it was... and working out that the guy selling whatever he's selling obviously wasn't too busy during the time your shutter was open!

But then we scrolled down to the 2nd photo!

What an absolutely stunning image you have managed to capture!!!!!

It conjurs up so many images in my mind of what it might be (rather than what I know it is).

It could be a jeannie's bottle spinning/smoking and ready to pop out a jeannie for you...

It could be a UFO...

The effect of the clouds just under the ball makes it look like smoke... and the shiny round bit...

I'm just lost for words to describe it!!!

It's one of the most amazing images I've seen on here - just because it's so different!

Bravo!!! YOU WIN!!!

Thank you so much. I appreciate the kind words. I had essentially 'rediscovered' by ND400 filter last June after having it in my bag and forgetting to use it for quite some time. While up at Disney, I popped on the idea to do the shot with the blurred crowds walking in front of the castle. Since then, I've tried to pull out the filter more often just to experiment and try odd daytime motion effects.

The 2nd photo (for those who may not know Disney World, it is the Dumbo ride in motion) was one of those ideas that I didn't really know what it would look like...it just sounded fun to try. The odd plastic cast of the ride cars and blue color, along with the late-day light, made the spinning blur come out very strange, almost like liquid plastic - so the effect was worth the experiment. Next time, I need to see if I can get the whole spin in the frame (I had to stand very close as the crowds kept passing in front of the lens when I stood further back).

Again, thank you for the kind words.

(I'd be honored and overjoyed to have any of my posted photographs critiqued, commented on, or post-processed - I can attribute everything I know about photography to the wonderful people who have done this for me in the past!)

This was an attempt to photograph a bee in flight. If you look closely, the bee is disappearing out of the top of the frame towards the left. You can just see its legs.

At least the legs are sharp :-)

Kind regards
Julia

Justin, your first image is extremely good.

The second one is nice too. the white
motion catch lights on the spinning Dumbo
is no doubt what makes the image, com-
plimented of course by the gold center
crown & the light upon it.

But your first image is a very sellable image
and would no doubt appeal to a large array
of people.

good job,

marc

Why taking lightning pics is like fishing... the fish are jumping where your line is not... so the lightning was happening where I was not pointed so I moved the camera .....before the exposure was over and then Boom there it was !
