Post your adorable mutt

Hello,

This is another picture of Miquette. She has a small patch of white hairs on her chin. The way it lines up with the stripe of white hairs she has on her chest, make her look like she has some kind of goatee beard. She is so cute.

This picture was taken with K10 with Pentax SMC 50 mm 1.4f. I had it set on the Tv adjustment knob. The day was very cloudy and the place she was standing would have been in the shade if the sky was clear. It is pretty tricky to get proper exposure of a dark subject on snow. I set the speed at 1/160 in the hope of stopping her movements. She is continually on the move. The average reading I was getting was suggesting the picture would be taken at 3.2f. This would have been fine. But at the moment of pulling the trigger, the camera decided to adjust the aperture to 1.4f. This is responsible for the heavy purple fringes, especially around the ears. Note that this picture is heavily cropped. Next time I shall use the TAv setting and have the ISO vary instead of the aperture.

My oft photographed knuckle headed bozo dog, Pepper. She is usually my subject matter for testing out my lenses and will usually pose for me under sufference while I go about my business.

Poco is getting old now, probably around 15. He lives with my parents. Still, nobody can tell what kind of mutt he is. Somebody said he's "almost majestic".

Anyway, this was hand held from the K10 and DA 50-200. SR sure is nice.

Hi all, this is my girl Bodine. She's an Australian Shepherd and because she's 14 years old, she's doing what she enjoys the most. Snoozing on her memory foam bed.

Dogs are such wonderful companions and I've really enjoyed seeing all of the images in this thread.

Here are my two beasts enjoying Christmas Time in the Bahamas. We flew them over for a week. It is their absolute favorite spot on earth. Can't keep them out of the water, either - no matter what.
