What a wonderful friday it is for me.
I just got the Leica 14-150mm lense
i have been dying to get for soooooo
long.

I did a video cermony for all you dpreviewers
as well as uploaded first in house pics of the lense.

The first shots are inside, P mode, Auto Iso Image stabilizer set
to 2 on E3 (cant remember if i set IS on the 14-150)

You can click on the Info button on the pictures to see the exif info.

I think the iso 2500 shots was wonderful. (especially when i turn it in black and white).

Every since i owned a Leica M6 a couple of years ago, i really fell in love with leica's
lenses (once you have a leica you will know what i am talking about).

Well, enjoy folks. Hopefully I will be out later getting awesome pics outside in this gloomy weather before it rains.
I will find some sexy model to assist me in doing some test shots.
Long Live Oly!!

how is the AF drive?

The 14-150 has some sort of ultrasonic drive... (XSM?)

It seems to me that that lens would be a great complement to the E-410. Small size, image stabilization and good range. Throw in the 1.4 or 2.0 TC and you would have awesome range.

this lense is sooo light. excellent travel lense. i am happy it came with lense hood

That's some spread. What is the f-stop range? Since three of my other cameras are M bodies, I know what you mean, but that range seems like what you might find offered by some no-name Asian supplier. I'll be most interested to see more when I get home (blocked at work from your pic site).

in 1/2 hour its going to rain as if noah was coming back
so i dont think the leica is waterproof like the oly lenses
ratzzz!!!!

Weird, the other OIS lenses work on both, although on Oly they only work in continuous mode, which is less effective.

Not really. On a 410 it would look huge, and possibly IS would drain the small battery. The twin lens kit looks much more sensible, and unobtrusive.

But if you want to have a dragster and drain your bank account, yes, definitely ;-)

I took the liberty of converting the price in Yen on the receipt on your video to USD. I then took the liberty of loudly cursing in front of my lab mate.

Congratulations - I'm sure its a lovely lens and if you NEED the OIS there aren't many options out there. I for one shall contend my self with swapping lenses as needed and thank the lord of the in body IS on the 510.

i am sitting in starbucks coffee shop, wishing this rain would stop, but its scheduled to rain for 4 days straight (go figure).
maybe i should get on a plane and find dry, and sunny land....urrgh
I am dying to try it out at the 300mm position.
I have a 40-150mm lense, i wish to compare it with.
