Hi

Has anyone purchased from digital depot in the UK. They seem to be offering a good price on the E-10 and i was wondering if anyone has any comments pos or neg about this company/camera deal??

Hi Jim,

Yes, I bought one from Digital Depot about a month ago, no problems at all, They are most helpful. They were doing a deal that week and included a card reader in with the bundle. I didn't want the wide angle and took the macro lens instead and they adjusted the price accordingly. Must be the best deal ever. Take away the cost of the 'extras' and you end up with an E10 for about £650 and they were advertising referbs. for about £850 if my memory serves me right! Plenty on this forum bought from there and no complaints whatsoever.

I haven't bought anything other than CF cards from them - but I've only heard good reports.

I purchased the E10 pro bundle from digital depot two weeks ago.
It arrived as promiced perfect service in every way.

The results from the camera supassed my expectations, perfect prints at A3 from my Epson 1270 printer.

I am delighted and glad I made the choice over the E20, the deal is just too good to miss.

looks like Digital Depot are responsible for a sudden increase of UK E10 owners :) . I also got the E10 bundle from them just over a month ago. I brought a C3000z from them a year ago, excellent service and prices.

2500+ photos so far from the E-10 and loving every minute of it... (90% are with the excellent TCon-14B attached) .

I can safely say the only limitation of this camera at the moment is ME!!! I have at least 2 years before I maybe reach limit of what this camera is capable of, by which time hopefully DD will be doing the same sort of bundles with E30's or D1x's or something :)

BTW , in case you're wondering it appears that all the Digital Depot units are 1.30 firmware and above.

Hi Jim,

Another satisfied customer here as I have bought my last 2 cameras from them (C2100 and E10). First was mail order which arrived next day - no problems and the second bought from the shop in Swindon. For me living in Reading it's nice to actually nice to be able to go to the shop (They've another in Stevenage I think) if I want to try something out and still get great prices.

Hey Jim, I haven't purchased from the UK, but please be careful to get the US version. There is a European version, and even though I purchased in the US, the camera shop sent me the European version which outputs to PAL, and Olympus U.S. does not honor the warranty. Check out the Olympus website for the after market warning. Hope this helps.

Jessops have been known to price match on Digital Depot prices, if you're at all worried about DD's provenance.

I got my E-10 last May at their Fox Talbot (Strand) branch for £1,200 ex Jessops this way, and all very amicably done. What a price to pay for an E-10, looking at it today!
