Allan Tannenbaum - The Hidden Victims of 9/11

EPA identified the debris at the WTC site as toxic and hazardous.
Whatever errors there are in EPA standards, doesn't matter, because
THEY regarded this stuff as deadly.
So why did the EPA Administrator go public to say that everything was hunky dory:

"On 9/13/01, EPA Administrator Whitman stated on camera while in New York City that all the monitoring data from EPA testing showed hazardous substances "below background levels."

"Background level" is an unambiguous term, meaning that there is adequate data to establish that conditions are the same as normal."

The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth.

That's correct. But according to her recent Congressional testimony, that is not what she later told the City. Is this true? I'm sceptical. But I'm also sceptical of Giulliani, who denies knowing anything. Yet the City has a pretty good EPA of it's own. The State of course, which was ALSO involved denies ever knowing anything.

In other words, the facts AS ADMITTED, are that the WTC debris was toxic, and someone let the work proceed without elementary safety precautions. I was down there for a week, and no one seemed to give a damn about this.

Bottom line - Not only is there a crime that took place (whether thorugh plain simple negligence, or deliberate), and no one is doing a thing about it.

Second, even though ALL parties agree that thousands of workers, and first responders (not to mention all the volunteers like me, or the RESIDENTS) were endangered, not a thing is being done to treat them - Or rather no where near enough.

NB. I am not one of those endangered. I brought along my own mask, and decided to wear it, even if people made fun of me. Moreover, I was completely a volunteer, so while I am "affected," this is only an emotional affect for all those I met and saw.
