It was pouring down, umbrella over one shoulder trying to shoot.

Fuji S5 200mm @ f2

This is my last fuji wedding. At time of writing nearly all my Nikon glass has sold and I've already picked up a stack of canon glass and a 1D mark III.

Gonna miss your AF-S 200mm/2.0 shots..... I'll probably buy that lens instead of a Rolex as a retirement gift....

Have you picked up a copy of the Canon EF 200mm/1.8?

Cheers

Are these scenes from a movie or something!?! They are fantastic, not just the compositions, but the lighting.

Inspiring stuff

Hi Padey,

In several years here I rarely said "Wow" to wedding pictures, with a few exceptions. These are outstanding captures, the compositions, light, bokeh, everything is in its place but in a different and creative way.

But I know that S5 and 200mmf2 only did a small part of the job, so whenever possible, share your work with the "other stuff" :-)

Congrats and thanks for sharing
Regards

Paulo Abreu,

Excellent shots as usual Andrew, posed but very natural looking, not easy to do ! Your work was one of the reasons I decided to buy the Fuji S3 then the S5, I'll miss your beautiful Fuji wedding shots.

John.

Cor you're lucky - my brides take one look at the rain and say they're not budging outside incase they get their dresses wet - even if it's not raining!

cope with any lighting situation he envisages coming across..

He can put me right on this supposition :)

DR is not his 'only' consideration?

I would hang on to one Fuji and one zoom lens. Who knows, the sun might come out once in the UK. It has happened. Smile please...

Serious question...

Why the 1D Mark III rather than the 1Ds Mark III?

Haa Padey!

Fine photography - it will be hard to top these - can't imagine why you should wan't to switch. In any event - don't forget to let us know how you like your new picture machine.

Good Luck!

Wonderful images of the happy couple. I have to ask . . . How much did you sell your 200mm/2 lense for? That new Canon is (if money were no object) a good reason to switch.

One word Wow!!

You will miss S5 and Nikon 200mm f2 combination, Padey.

Thanks Paulo.

I won't be posting my canon wedding images here, as i respect the fuji cameras and their users who i've met on this forum.

I've always enjoyed the Fuji slr forums and it's civilised users.

I suppose you could do some magical stuff with the full frame D3 and the AF-S 200/2.0.
