Girl Under a Willow

Beautiful picture. The motive is great and the light through the tree is wonderful.

Agree that it would help focus our attention to the girl if she was easier to spot (lighter).

The colors are also seem slightly unnatural - like a HDR-picture. Some like this kind of effect but I would try to work towards a more natural color cast (without sacrificing the lights in the shadow areas).

I have tried a lighter version but still prefer something darker.

It is a HDR pic and I must admit that I am a beginner in that field but I prefer surreal or very saturated color for this one. I do not try to always reproduce reality when I take a photograph. I understand and respect your feeling concerning a more natural color.

Hi Pierre,

I LOVE this shot... I'm with you where I like this a little darker. When I first looked at it my thoughts were "the girl should be lighter" but after looking at it I do like it this way. As Andrew pointed out it looks like a fairy tale picture.

Great picture! I love the way the colors look and the composition of the scene! It is HDR, isn't it?

What would happen to the image if you apply a bit of lens correction? The distortion near the edges distracts me a bit...

Nice shot. But she's lost in the image. It's a good image without her, but if you want to keep your title, I agree with Morris.
