M8 saves (partially) the day: here comes the bride...

Congratulations!
Vieri, my very best wishes go to you and to your lovely bride. She is
endeed beautiful.
I hope to see soon some pictures of your honeymoon. Are you going
anywhere?
Thank you very much for the good wishes! Much appreciated indeed. We are going home to Italy (meaning, 'my homeland', home is indeed Istanbul, turkey now) - will post images for sure, but not before two weeks or so... Thanks again, best regards

Vieri

P.S. the cousin is, infact, available ;)

Vieri got married hip-hip Hooray!
that & more I have to say

Lovely bride you're a lucky man
wish you happiness is all I can

pity about the lost photos from the "pro"
the wedding album will be a no-show

but what is important will remain in your HEART
which will be difficult to express in art

at least you have you M8 pics
that was handy, your bag of tricks

treasure those images I can advise
maybe this experience will make you more wise

not all that we plan gets done OK
not easy to get things right ALL the way

but that is a lesson in life for all
sometimes you get up, sometimes you fall

careful thought is never enough
sometimes you do encounter some bad stuff

but if you TWO walk the way together
life will nevertheless still be a pleasure!

Vieri!!!! What did you do??? :D :D :D
Oh well - I, too, finally did it! :)
Congratulations, your shots are really beautiful, but the better I
think is the second you posted.
I didn't know you had a Leica too.. :)

Best wishes to you and your wife!
Thank you very much - glad you enjoyed them! Oh yes, I have a M kit too since April, and love it (still have and use my D2xs though) - a life saver, at times :) Thanks again, best

This is great and very very kind! We (I) never had a poem, less a wedding one, written for us before - thank you so very much for this, indeed very much appreciated! :)) best regards,

Since the stimulus by tashley, two months ago, I have squeezed out my brain to produce some limericks. On the occasion of your marriage, I cannot see why to spare you.

to Vieri, as a consolation

A famous photographer said once with pride:
"Oh, I only can take great pics of my bride."
For wedding he found without trouble
a good friend as his photo double.
"The pics of his wife are not bad." he sighed.

I would like to congratulate you and your bride and wish you all the best in life.

Sizleri candan tebrik ediyorum ve mutluluklar diliyorum.
--This is for your bride to read:)

What about a honeymoon trip to Israel also?

Hi Vieri

I really meant to send you a mail on Friday - but I was busy elsewhere! (which is also why I missed this thread).

What did the photographer do wrong?!!!!

These shots of yours are lovely - really smashing, and, as you say, it's the bride that's important!

I shot a wedding the weekend before (with the M8 for 90% of the shots).

I've got to do something a bit more 'arty' for my own benefit - these pages are for the family.

Anyway - more importantly, may I take this opportunity to wish you a long and happy marriage - I've been at it for 25 years, and we get on better now than we did then!

Good Luck my friend
best wishes

Fantastic, what a stunning girl. And, the portraits do such a wonderful job in bringing out her happiness. Please share more great pictures as the years go by.

First of all, sorry for the delayed reply, I have been away from the forum a while and I kinda forgot this thread... Thank you for the very nice wishes in both languages (I do speak & read turkish as well, so it was a double for both of us!) - a honeymoon in Israel? That sounds great, it's one country I haven't seen and would love to... :) Who knows, maybe someday!

Best,

Vieri

As you can see, my reply is MUCH more delayed than your congrats ;) As you know I didn't post much here lately, and this thread kinda gone missing - I was checking around old stuff, and I remembered I didn't answer some of the last posts, so here I am! How do you enjoy your new lenses? I haven't seen much posting after the firsts - hope all is well with you, best
