Which among the following do you suggest are better ones (or maybe none...)?

I have been able to capture 6 Mesa Arch pictures, which were taken at Sunrise. However as the composition is very similar, will only keep couple.

As part of our trip to SouthWest US, we visited Moab and Arches National Park. Very close to Moab is a location called Canyonland.

We hiked for about a mile at 4AM. There were no one around the parking lot, and I thought we were the only ones reaching Mesa Arch that morning.

Once we reached the Arch, to my surprise, I found there were 10 more photographers already near the Arch.

We had to wait about an hour for the sunrise, but boy what a sight it was! Something I'll never forget.

Thanks for looking.

Arch2

Arch3

Arch4

Arch5

All are fantastic. So, wich one ? Can't help you. Whatever one you'll end up keeping, you can't go wrong.
Great job.

The light on the forground rocks on the lower right and the lack of flare from the sun clinch it for me. All beautiful shots though.

They are all beautiful and amazing pic. I personally like arch5 the best myself because the bright sun is just past the rocks and allows you to get more detail in the rocks witout that bright sun kind of causing lost highlights in the sky.

Great work and I will be travelling to Arizona July 9.

All brilliant but if I had to I'd go for 2 and 6. The sky is almost blown on 6 compared to 5 but I think the focus of the image in 6 keeps you looking at the rocks while in 5 I find I'm looking at the sky more than the rocks.

Just my initial reactions. They are all cracking pics though!

Cheers

They are very nice and I can relate to not being in the right spot at the right time.
  1. 5 is my favorite.

Just trying to learn and it's slow going!

I agree, on their own, they are all nice shots.

However, just my opinion but I like nbr 5 and the last one.
I find the sun to be an annoyance in the shots. I'm not
sure if you had these for sale in a shop that the buyer would
want the glare of the sun in the picture. To me, it washes out
the real beauty of the landscape you are trying to capture.

Now if you are just trying to capture the sunrise as the main feature
then, sure....

cheers.

I like #2 the best. Better use of the sky and sun.
  1. 5 is second best.
The others the sky is too washed out.

Great images and great location.

I'd want to print #2 as it's the best. I'd also keep #4 as it shows a view that extends further down the rockslope. #5 that everyone seems to like has the interesting lighting and great sky, but there's too much rocky foreground for it to be the best of the batch but it's certainly a keeper.

I don't see deliberately waiting for sunrise (with 10 other photographers) and then not picking a photo that includes the sun in a dramatic way and #2 does that better than the others.

All are beautiful, and since each offers a different perspective, all stand on their own.

However, the light in the 2nd-to-last one is really special, illuminating the foreground rocks on the right. The last photo does the same, but the sun has risen higher and dominates more of the photo, taking the viewer's eye away from the subtle lighting on the right side.

I would go with the one shown below. I've seen many beautiful photographs of this subject, but the unique lighting helps this one stand apart...

Great photographs! We're lucky you made that trek in the pre-dawn hours!!

All are nice pictures...
However if I have to print some of them, I will print the 2nd and 5th one.
Most of the above replies have discussed them.
