Hospital food is the least of my worries right now ;-)

'I never seen you looking so bad my funky one
You tell me that your superfine mind has come undone
Any major dude with half a heart surely will tell you my friend
Any minor world that breaks apart falls together again
When the demon is at your door
In the morning it won't be there no more
Any major dude will tell you...'

...that took the time to write and anyone that just thought of me. It is very touching to hear from so many folks. I'm heading off to bed now but I'll check-in tomorrow morning. I probably won't have time to reply to everyone but I'll try to read 'em all before heading out.

Thanks again,
Ed

. . .man. And that is a very nice photo.

Ed asked me to let his friends at dpreview know that he came out of surgery okay. Of course, he is in some pain and he's very tired. But one of the first things he asked about when he woke up was whether I'd posted here yet!

On a personal note, I'd like to tell you all how touched I am by your kind thoughts, prayers, and expressions of support. It means a lot to me, and it means a whole lot to Ed.

Ed learned that they have wireless in the hospital, and he suggested that he might want his laptop tomorrow. We'll see about that (she said sternly), but that would be the very earliest I would expect to hear from him again on this forum. (He actually has convinced me to bring the E-1 to the hospital today. How could I deny him that?)

Warmly,

Tina

hope the days ahead continue to bring nothing but encouragement to you, Ed, and your family as he recovers...

Tell him we expect some of his trademark photography of the hospital when he's up to it. Take Care,

Give Ed my regards, and tell him that I noticed that this thread was number 2 in the DPR most activity postings. It may even have been top at one point.

Lots of people are thinking of him. And knowing this place, for every one that posts, hundreds more are reading.

Cheers

gareth

PS. Don't take any macro lenses in for him. I shudder to think what he could come up with shooting close up in a hospital!

. . . to hear all is well.
