Bob S,

Snap out of it man! I know just what you need! A cute Spring Greeting card to snap you out of Winter's Doldrums. See the post: Bob MacTarheel's Ole to Spring. (flip it over....go ahead Bob. Flip it over....feel better now? It has Hallmark written on the back!)

Bummer man,

No job , no UZI , why if we were drinkin' men, we'd have to
go to Ergo's house and get " Misted". LOL The shot's not
that bad, knowing you , you can probably turn it into a POTD!

Keep your head up,

Tim

(SLAP) come on (SLAP) Bob (SLAP, SLAP) pulll yourself together man!

I love the texture of the ground in the picture, by the way. Ya better get out of the dulldrums quick, because if you keep looking down you just may trip and that wonderful texture will be imprinted all over your face :O)

Oh yeah the "slaps" above are me whackin' you across the face, trying to bring you back to the land of Happy Oly Camera Owners :O)

this photo says two things,

first....comfort, Worn in shoes and comfortable pants

second....ok, depressed...but i think it is only that you can't lift your head due to your morning the recent loss of your beloved 2100. I believe there are support groups that may help you. If not, start one.

Warning..if you go into a support group and you see a guy holding any kind of appliance and seems to have a unhealthy fixation made evident by his montra..."beat barn boy, beat barn boy" Run for it!

Hi Bob,

Hang in there, I know what you're going through. I got laid off last September but was lucky in that I found a job in only two months. I remember feeling pretty depressed for the most part also. But, with hindisght, I realized it really wasn't so bad. We tightened our belts and got through it okay. And you know, the two months off was just the thing I needed. I wish I had relaxed more and enjoyed the time off.

I don't know if you're a religious man, Bob, but if you just trust in the Lord, He will provide for you. Do what you can to find the job and leave the worrying to Him. Enjoy your time off.

The latest jobs numbers were out today and they do show an improving economy. It's just a matter of time and pretty soon you'll be swearing at your new boss again :) .

Good luck,
Bill

I know how ya feel bob. I have one of those days four or five times a week. Keep your chin up bud. Oh and nice shoes!

Thanks Ross, might take you up on that if they have any openings, got a couple weeks left of benefits...At least Wendys working...

Ya know, actually the 3000 is a fantastic little camera and there's still plenty to shoot in the lower zoom range...I like that it's 32mm at the wide side, little wider than most which comes in handy...some of my best shots from the Uzi were in wide angle...the zoom is sure nice to have when you need it though...

What I really miss is the ELV...I'm so used to seeing all my settings in the viewfinder...I set the 3000 to f/5.6 in the custom menu so by default when I use aperture priority I start in the middle and I know 6 arrow clicks down brings me to f/2.8, and 6 arrow clicks up and I'm at f/11. this way i don't have to look at the LCD...there's always work arounds...Even though the paralax error of the view finder gives me more than what I frame, I have extra pixels to crop...

Maybey next week we'll get out shooting...
