Squawk! Gimmie a cookie!

I've always found parrots interesting and amusing, but ever since seeing the incredible documentary, The Parrots of Telegraph Hill, I've totally fallen in love with them. Their eagerness to interact with people is astonishing, and present to a degree in no other bird species I know of. How so much awareness of themselves and others can be packed into such little brains is beyond me.

They love to pose and posture so much that phtographing them is just pure pleasure. Plus they are totally gorgeous.

I used a camera

Sorry, I can't resist being a real wise a** sometimes. Canon 20D, Canon 75-300mm IS zoom lens. Straight stuff. Nothing fancy. Just friendly subjects who seemed to want their pictures taken.
