Anybody hear anymore about the ipf6000? I'm more curious about price then I am about release time.

Thanks Jim,
At least we're getting closer!

Yes Canon will be showing this machine at PMA and I understand the price to be 3995 but I am sure they will have a special on it..considering at this point in time you can get the IPF 8000 44 inch model for less with a trade in..

keep that in mind to..

Cheers

I was hoping for less ERP. I might understand $2,995.00, but $3,995.00 is more then I'm willing to pay. I'm still going to wait for PMA, but the HP DJ130 is looking better all the time.

Good! I'm curious to see what the price will really be, but have a feeling it will be out of my ball park.

Was there no official announcement from Canon? Why wouldn't they if they had the printer on display? Interestingly I cannot find any mention of this printer in any of the PMA 2007 reports. Thought it would be more interesting than new digicams at least. If anyone knows of a link to a picture of this printer from the show, it would be great if you could post it.

They did have it on the floor, but it's not an announced product yet. The printer looked like it had an option to add a 17" cassette, but I don't know that for certain - it wasn't installed in the printer on the floor.

Name and some other changes will be out in a month or so.

I think both HP and Canon learned from their delayed products announced at PMA 2006 then.

Both the 9180 and the 9500 pigment Canon were announced. The 9180 is just getting up to speed in the channels, and the 9500 is not even out yet but will be soon according to other posts and sitings.

Best they just show the prototypes and have a closer proximity of release dates than to promise what they cannot do.

Good news on the tray Jon. If they do a 17" tray it will be a great option.
