Phil,

The black is fine, & very well gel with the layout of the different sections of the site. What concerns me is the size of the font, it surely needs to be either customizable or bigger, its a real pain & strain on the eyes, yet so many people stick to the site.

We surely like to have bigger fonts, I know this has been discussed in past & you may have a problem in doing that, but I am sure it will help in reducing the stress.

One example is http://forums.about.com/n/main.asp?webtag=ab-graphicssoft&nav=start&lgnF=y

This forum has advance veiw which lets the reader choose the font size & its stored for that user.

Thanks for such a resourceful site.--RanjanProfessional photographer. http://www.geocities.com/ranjan2001

Hello Phil,

I agree with the others requiring larger fonts, kind of.

I think that providing that kind of functionality via a "settings" page in dpreview is overkill and confusing.

IMHO, the main problem now is that, on Internet Explorer, the menu View-> Text Size-> Large is simply useless. That's of course because you specify absolute font sizes in the site CSS. It makes page design easier, but user's life more difficult. Changing every thing to large, x-small, etc. in the css is no easy task, and that would make your fancy tables much harder to implement.

Anyway, I definitely think the way to solve the text size problem is to make that menu work. Sheesh, web desining is difficult!

Take care,

Edmar

Leave it as it is. Its very readable this way!--Jason Stoller [email protected] that special moment with a great camera

Black is OK.

It could be a point though to have different colours in different sections / subjects. But I do believe they should be dark.
If too much trouble keep it as it is!--Ole

Black works fine for me.
