I preferred the shots which emphasized the subject(theme)

Manandmachine gets an honorable mention here. Although it perfectly suits the theme and is a nice picture, the composition and the washed out background did not make it to the first 3 on mylist

Am I the only one who cannot find this thread by using the search function? Neither "Voting" nort "#15" as subject-line search terms let me find it. That's very weird!

The search function seems to be on the fritz, as I can't find some of the threads I know I've contributed to, I know exist, and I know the subject lines and what I wrote. Yet they don't show up in searches, so...

Perhaps it's time for an email to the administrator, unless he's already aware of the problem...

I had the same problem last night, I ended up doing a search for Carpents' posts and found it

Oooh, tough choices. If I voted several different times, I'd probably have entirely different selections! But here are my choices of the moment:
Main Challenge:
1. (5 points): Shadow spill

This one jumped out at me at the beginning, and continues to draw my eye. Perfect fit to the theme, a difficult exposure well-executed... exactly the sort of thing I wish I'd taken!
2. (3 points): Tea house

Again, a good fit to the theme, and it draws me in - I wonder what the objects on the table are? It looks cool and relaxing, I'd like to go sit there.
3. (1 point): Purple flower

I like the simplicity here - purple and contrasting yellow as the only colours, and the intensely backlit centre transform a flower into something almost abstract.

Honorable mentions to Serrated (another simple, almost abstract image) and Samburu.

Exhibition Gallery:

Fascinating near-abstract. I really like the interplay of curves, light and shadow.
2. (3 points): Caress

Simple, elegant, and the title is perfect. A nice example of the title enhancing the photo. Delicious colours, too.
3. (1 point): On the hunt

I love the way the light shines through the spider's legs. Another simple image, too.
Honorable mentions to Light after the storm and Abandoned.

Great entries, thanks for making it such a difficult choice!
