She was cute, the test was silly. Why do they compare these cameras, the Canon 30D is closest in price to the D80, heck, throw in the Fuju S3, maybe the Pentax K10D and see who wins.

Another one of those corny promos that features a goofy-act really hot-looking woman acting all silly-like for gimicks.

Definitely weird, but even so, looks like some other gimmicky goofy-like promos/features like I've seen before, complete with a really hot-looking woman. I mean, the way she was going like "oh poor baby, hang in there Rebel, don't give up" (or whatever exactly she was saying), you were just shaking your head.

Even so, am I the only one watching that who was thinking, "wow, if only she were wearing a tank top." Bad boy that I am.

She called Xti a baby. Put a 70-200 f/4 L on this baby

and it will make D80 cry :) [the cheapest Nikkor zoom to rival 70-200 f/4 L is Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8]

What's your point?

hmmm...

Canon 400D w/ 70-200 f/4 L vs. Nikon D80 w/ 80-200 f/2.8
I'm not sure about the crying thing....

would make an interesting comparison though .... Well.. I guess Cnet don't make an entertaining show like that with those lenses anyway...

Well, since you obviously don't mind one stop difference, I'd say the 55-200 DX comes pretty close to the Canon resolution wise... hehe :-)

... but very interesting, because a deeper look into the viewfinder and auto focus would have probably been even more one-sided.

What a (non) shock ...

Not sure point on that message.

Yes Nikon may not offer the 70-200 F4, 17-40 F4 or the 24-105 F4 but Canon does not have may EF-s offerings like Nikon like the 18-70 DX,18-135 DX,18-200 AFS VR,etc.

So why don't we just move on and try to take photos instead..
