Well, the Challenge 128 voter turnout was excellent! Hopefully this trend will continue, thanks to Warren's very convenient voting system! Thanks again also to Mike F. and the 'bumpers' for helping to keep the challenge thread current and for all work done behind the scenes! John Dunn, congrats btw for winning the 'movie debate' category that was initiated by Franky2005!
Now on to the results...
In the ELIGIBLE category, it was a tight race for the top 3 spots right from the start, but in the end, 'the tribe has spoken' and a winner emerged! The bonus points were not a factor in the outcome here! I'm happy to announce that the winner of this challenge is someone who has participated in these things for a long time, who has been 'nominated' often but never took home the 'oscar' until now... Congratulations John Dunn for your winning entry of "Teahouse of the August Moon", a beautifully composed night scene that is very reminiscent of the scenery in the movie itself! John, you've built up a collection of these images and I seriously think you'd get attention if you ever showed them as a series in an exhibit! Congrats again, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll announce for Challenge 130!
In the EXHIBITION category, the bonus points were a bit of a factor for the 1st-place race, with the top two voted images running neck-and-neck throughout! As a result, we've got a tie and both images deserve that recognition! MCsaba's smoke-shaping "Intimacy" and Bottles' mystical interpretation of "The Last Voyage" were both superb entries! Congratulations to the both of you for your very well-deserved wins and I'm also looking forward to seeing you two strut your stuff again in Challenge 130!
Thanks finally to all entrants, this was definitely a fun one to watch!
