>> Challenge 75: "Five" - Voting thread <<

I can’t talk on behalf
of Matt. But what I
wrote about, had
(has!) happened to
two of my own en-
tries.

I was looking at the already-voted view, which is correct. When I voted, this wasn't an issue for me since I'd followed which picture was moved to which gallery, so I knew which picture was really in the running. The correct large picture is brought up in any case. As always, I hope people are voting on the large pictures and not the thumbnails.

to post links to the pictures that are missing right here? Are they actually on pbase and not in the booth? Was there a timing issue on the part of the photographer (didn't get entry in on time)?

When I voted, two of
my own pictures were
not in the booth, but
—yes—they were cor-
rectly displayed by p-
base. Later (when I
checked standings)
the same images
showed up in the
booth, but not in
the order—of date
of entry—pbase
shows. That still
is the same so far.

Both photos had been
entered towards the
end of the challenge,
but clearly on time.

So I just wonder (pure
curiosity): what hap-
pened???

It's the only way to really know what photo you're voting for, and many shots look quite different when viewed at full size. The fine details often "make" the picture.

Voting based only on the thumbnails is not really fair to some of the shots.

I almost wish the voting booth did not use thumbnails at all but instead loaded all of the shots at full size to begin with. But I can see pros and cons to both ways of doing things.

At Sea - between Invergordon and Queens Ferry Scotland.

Alas, it's like dial-up on the ship so I've voted eligible but I'm not going to vote exhibition. Sorry about that.

I just realized that I posted my voter bonafides to the challenge thread rather than the voting thread. Sigh. Here I am in the right thread at last.

Congratulations to Vikas for an exciting concept. The galleries are filled with really great shots. It is a pleasure to be associated in even a small way with such a talented lot.

Indeed "my" troll has moved on to the pro bodies forum and is busy buying expensive gears to satisfy his measurbation addiction... :-)

I erased those pictures myself. As Phil pointed out (in much nicer terms) it was the same old cr4p I often produce. I couldn't stand it. Got rid of it.
But thanks for noticing.

As voting enters the final stages, I though I could use the opportunity to post a link to a wider-angle view of the "African Sweets?" picture:

:-) Hope this helps to answer the question about what it actually was! :-)

Thanks again for the fun, the excellent hosting and looking forward to the next one already.

Regards to all. ~ jnconradie

PS. Had I thought that this post would have any material impact on the voting or relative standings/winners, I would not have posted it, but my feeling was that it would have no material bearing on outcomes. Hope this is OK?
