As hinted at in the review, the little bugger is officially named F
1.7x AF Adapter.
There is one drawback to it: While it is enabling AF with manual
lenses, it is disabling the built in AF with modern AF lenes. An AF
lens is acting like a MF lens. You need to manually prefocus it to
be in the adapter's limited focus range. That makes it less
desirable as a teleconverter for AF lenses.
