Still no good news on seller netsolutions55 on eBay.

I somehow got on the distribution list of all the irate buyers. Lots of chatter but no cameras as of yet. Apparently Tim (name of netsolutions55 guy) still believes that his "distributor" will still come through with the merchandise. Delays are because of the holidays. We'll see.

Is anybody, other than me, reporting this to eBay Safe Harbor? If you are on this list, Steve, you might mention that an email to [email protected] might help get action. So far they have declined to do anything. The last message I got said that if it is a fraud, we will know soon. But the only way will be if the non-satisfied buyers contact Safe Harbor, the sooner the better.

After the first negetive D1H sale was posted, all the D1H auctions were pulled last night.

I hadn't noticed that, thanks Trent. Ah, the brilliant consistency of eBay. They will pull this guys D1H auctions once someone specifically complains, but they will wait on the D1X and D1 auctions, amazing :-). I even told them that the D1's weren't made anymore. Oh, well, I just hope that not too many folks get ripped off with this one. This is much more sophisticated than most have been.

Yamil, I've been sending these to eBay as well for the past week or so, one of their replies suggested that I tell Nikon!

Oh, well, ain't my money , but I agree, Tim is the one who will get the worst of it. What is strange is that he has delivered some of the stereo stuff. If you want a laugh, go look at the website noted in the other thread, http://www.first-wholesale.com .

This "buyer" has left 2 positive responses today, one for a D1X the other for a Minolta RD-3000. Isn't it interesting to note that 4 of his, cheeswiz's, positive responses are for D1X's and all of them are from netsolutions?????

Caveat Emptor has never been more true. Isn't it amazing what you can find with a small bit of looking on eBay?

the funnier thing is that both of those auctions just ended hours ago. how can he have delivered the two cameras so quickly, and then received positive feedabck already? hmmm, maybe Santa is now making direct deliveries from Latvia. i'm sure FedEx and UPS will har about this delivery system soon.

The word "stinks" comes to mind. I'm shipping this info off to Safe Harbor now, maybe this will get their attention.

All of his auctions are gone now. What is most interesting to me, in looking at his "completed auctions", is how many of the items were bought in multiples by folks with no feedback. Either this was part of the scam, to make it look like sales, or it was a set of folks who set up id's to just mess with the guy.

I sure hope that not many folks actually sent this guy money.

Hi,

Oh, that's an easy one. I can ship an imaginary product from one side of my desk to the other in a few milliseconds. Then, I can leave positive feedback for the left side of my desk from the right side!

If you want a cheap 6mp digital SLR, you can have my old Kodak DCS 460. It's up on eBay at the moment, but it's not a D1X.......

You head down to your local Nikon dealer and buy one.

Sure, it's not as cheap as some of these great-deal drop-ship auctions have them for. It certainly is far cheaper than plunking down $4200 for a 'great deal' camera and never seeing it or your money and (learning the lesson) heading off to the local dealer and plunking down another $5000 before having a D1X in your bag......

Unfortunately I am one.. sent $4250.69 through Paypal to the
guy! Have now filed fraud complaints on eBay, Paypal and my Mastercard!

I am hoping he refunds to my Paypal account! Definate legal action will follow including mail fraud if no refund!

Sorry to hear that, Digitalman. The scammers are trying to look more and more legit on eBay. With his "eBay Store" and the "Square Deal" logo he was trying to make it look very legit.

Good luck with you CC company, you should be able to force a chargeback through them if the merchandise does not show up.
